Fred Koehler is the author and illustrator of lots of books, including the Boston Globe Horn Book Award Honor Book ONE DAY, THE END, and the Bank Street College’s Best Books of the Year award winner SUPER JUMBO.

Jeannine Atkins’s work about strong girls and women in history includes Finding Wonders: Three Girls Who Changed Science (Atheneum). She teaches writing in the MFA program at Simmons.

Kristine Asselin (aka Query Godmother), Author and Query Consultant has donated a Query Package Critique (includes query letter, synopsis, and first ten pages of your middle grade or YA novel.) The winner will get a detailed critique (track changes/comments) of all three documents, as well as a written summary of suggestions/observations.

 

After more than 150 query letters over several years, Kris signed with Kathleen Rushall of Andrea Brown Literary Agency in 2013 and has been providing Query Letter consultation ever since through workshops, lectures, and one-on-one support. Her debut young adult novel, ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT (Bloomsbury Spark), came out in April 2015. Her debut Middle Grade (co-authored with Jen Malone) is set to be released in February 2018 from Simon and Schuster/Aladdin.

These will include Shooting Kabul, Saving Kabul Corner and Ticket to India, as well as an ARC of Escape From Aleppo.
