Prior to her work at Lee and Low, she spent sixteen years at Arthur A. Hannah Barnaby is a former children’s book editor and bookseller, and was the first-ever Children’s Writer-in-Residence at the Boston Public Library. Mika Song has donated an original watercolor  for the winner of this auction, pictured below. Mika is a children’s writer/illustrator who makes stories about sweetly funny outsiders. She grew up in Manila, Philippines and Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to New York to study at Pratt Institute.
