Kody Keplinger, the popular YA author of titles like THE DUFF, SHUT OUT, and A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHTMARE, is offering a FULL manuscript critique for your MG or YA novel as well as a query letter critique. This is an amazing opportunity to get your NaNaWriMo novel in shape for submission – or to polish any project you’ve been working on for submission to agents & editors.

Elizabeth Law, publisher of Egmont USA and an editor who specializes in Children’s and Young Adult fiction, will critique 30 pages and a synopsis of your manuscript.  Elizabeth will provide written notes and line edits and have a 40 minute phone call with you to discuss your project and your writing, and any questions at all you have about the industry, agents, publishers, e-books etc.

From Elizabeth… An added incentive to bid: IF THE BID GOES TO $650 OR HIGHER, I WILL READ, CRITIQUE, AND DISCUSS THE FIRST 40 PAGES AND SYNOPSIS OF THE NEXT ROUND OF YOUR MANUSCRIPT, IF YOU GET IT TO ME WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF OUR INITIAL CALL. The idea is that you will have time to sit with anything we’ve discussed, dig in, revise, perhaps share with your critique group, and when you feel ready I will happily look at your manuscript again. And if you prefer for me to look at a different section of the book instead–if there’s something else that you want feedback on–then I will happily read that.
