Author Tamra Wight (tamrawight.com) is offering a 30-minute Skype visit for your school, library, or book club, along with signed, hardcover copies of all the books in the Cooper and Packrat Series:  MYSTERY ON PINE LAKE, MYSTERY OF THE EAGLE’S NEST, MYSTERY OF THE MISSING KIT, and a copy of MYSTERY OF THE BEAR CUB when it is released October 10th, 2017. These eco-adventure mysteries are set in a Maine campground and feature Maine wildlife.

Author Sarah Albee has donated two options for  this auction:
1. An in-person author visit (one presentation) within one hour of Watertown, CT (check your maps!). This talk can be for any size group of kids, grades 3 through 8. OR she’s happy to offer an “informational writing workshop” for a group of up to 40 kids. Your choice!
OR
2. A 30-minute Skype visit with a signed copy of each of Sarah’s latest books (POOP HAPPENED: A HISTORY OF THE WORLD FROM THE BOTTOM UP, BUGGED: HOW INSECTS CHANGED HISTORY, WHY’D THEY WEAR THAT, and her latest, POISON: DEADLY DEEDS, PERILOUS PROFESSIONS, AND MURDEROUS MEDICINES. Sarah’s engaging Skype visits get kids genuinely excited about research & nonfiction!
Sarah is the New York Times bestselling author of more than 100 books for kids, ranging from preschool through middle grade. Recent nonfiction titles have been Bank Street College of Education Best Books selections, Notable Social Studies Trade Books, and winners of Eureka! Nonfiction Children’s Book Awards. These days she writes primarily nonfiction, and especially loves writing about topics where history and science connect.

 Jo Knowles has donated a first chapter (10 pages) manuscript critique. Jo is the author of several YA and MG books, including Read Between The Lines, Still A Work in Progress and See You At Harry’s. Jo also teaches writing at the Mountainview Low-Residency MFA Program. Jo has donated a first chapter critique for an aspiring children’s author. The winner of this auction will receive a critique in the form of an editorial letter giving feedback on up to 10 pages of the opening of a YA or MG novel.

Kim enjoys working on a wide range of books and has a client list including women’s fiction, mystery, young adult and romance.  She’s currently eager to grow her list in the areas of  women’s fiction and young adult.  Most especially, as an Autism mom, she is dedicated to representing the stories and voices of individuals with special needs and their families.

Query Critique + 20 minute Skype call: For the writer about ready to start querying, Moe Ferrara will provide feedback on a query for any of the genres listed in her bio (MG or YA! no picture books or young readers, please.) as well as one 20 minute video call on Skype or similar platform. During the call you can ask her any of your burning questions about publishing or discuss your own writing/pitch/whatever your heart desires!
Moe is a literary agent and the Subsidiary Rights Director with BookEnds Literary Agency. A musician turned law school student turned literary agent, Moe joined BookEnds in May of 2015. Moe is interested in books for middle grade and young adult adult readers in most genres — especially science fiction, fantasy, contemporary, and light horror. The right contemporary or paranormal romance (sans-vampires of course) will spark her interest. She’s LGBTQ friendly across all genres, too!

Award winning author Grace Lin is offering a 25-minute Skype Q&A session with a”draw-along”  for your school, library, or book club, along with signed copies of all six of her novels: her Asian folktale/fantasy trilogy (WHERE THE MOUNTAIN MEETS THE MOON, STARRY RIVER OF THE SKY, WHEN THE SEA TURNED TO SILVER) and her Pacy Lin series (YEAR OF THE DOG, YEAR OF THE RAT, DUMPLING DAYS). These books can be swapped out for any of Grace’s picture books or early readers (LING & TING) depending on her personal inventory. Date & time will be mutually agreed upon by the winner and Grace after the auction ends.

Grace Lin is a NY Times bestselling author and illustrator of picture books, early readers and middle grade novels. Grace’s novel “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon” was awarded the Newbery Honor in 2010 and Grace’s early reader, “Ling and Ting” was honored with the Theodor Geisel Honor in 2011. Most recently, the cover illustration for her novel “When the Sea Turned Silver” (a 2016 National Book Award Finalist) was displayed at the White House, where Grace was recognized as a Champion of Change for Asian American and Pacific Islander Art and Storytelling.
